Mapping Services

Mountain Mapping and GIS provides state-of-the-art web-integrated GIS mapping services for ranch and farm operators.
 
 

• High-accuracy GPS mapping of all fences, gates, pastures, ponds, corrals, roads, irrigation, power lines, and any other infrastructure. This provides exact measurements of fence length, pasture acreage, pond square-footage, road mileage and so on.

• Crop Cost and Productivity Tracking enables very simple monitoring of the cost of crop production, per ton or per acre, across the various areas of a ranch.

• Easily record how much money has been spent for each pasture on fertilizer, weed-spray, mowing, and other inputs.

• Exact Tracking from anywhere of how many tons/pounds of each crop is produced by each pasture, and how much money was spent to produce each ton of that crop.

• Secure web-based viewing of your ranch map. MMG hosts your GIS in-house, and provides all web-hosting services.

• Simplified ranch maps; Letter-sized tear-off pads of, which can be used to guide contractors and visitors to the areas of the ranch where work is to be done. Oversized dry-erase boards inlaid with your ranch map, for tracking of day-to-day operations.

• Cattle management tools for accurate ongoing animal inventories – track your cows by how many days they have grazed each pasture, and equalize grazing pressure on your various grazing areas. Our optional web-based data input tools allow easy entry of cattle counts by non-technical staff.
